Quaint Old World Charm in the Old City

We chose this hotel amongst a selection courtesy Turkish Airlines. It is a beautiful place with plenty of old world charm. My son mentioned that the hotel and the corridors looked like something out of the Grand Budapest Hotel movie. The location of this hotel is excellent - a short walk to famous spots in sultanhamet and an even shorter walk to the water. The streets in front of it are narrow so traffic can be a bit of an issue. We walked to the hotel from the tram stop in sultanhamet and I wouldn't recommend this if you have roll on bags. The cobbled stones are a beast. Check in was a breeze and our room had a great view of the mosque. The hotel is eco friendly so there are no bottled shampoos and conditioners but the oil soap was a pleasure. Towels and the bed linens were extremely clean. Wifi was decent and the lobby was a fun space with a lot of antiques. Definitely check out the resident turtles in the indoor fountain. Breakfast was a buffet with both Western and Turkish options. Everything was fresh and well made and there was something for everyone. Along with the usual coffee and turkish tea, we enjoyed the different varieties of fresh juices on offer daily. One side of the terrace restaurant faces the Bhosporus and the other faces the blue mosque. There is also an outdoor section where patrons who smoke usually go. We had a great stay here!

One of the highlights of the Armanda Hotel is its location. It is conveniently situated within walking distance of many of Istanbul's iconic landmarks, including the Hagia Sophia, Blue Mosque, and Topkapi Palace. This made it easy to explore the rich history and culture of the city. The breakfast served at the hotel was okay but nothing great. Overall, it's location is good for exploring old city.

I went twice to Armada hotel and I will definitely return. The location of the hotel is perfect, right below Top Kali and Agia Sophia. Very convenient for discovering Istanbul’s center by foot. It is also right on the water of Bosphorus. The rooms are cosy, clean, the bed lines and mattresses are impeccable and the breaksfast served on the top floor with view is very good. The free parking is another plus of this hotel, that I appreciated, as I go to Istanbul by car-it very needed especially after an active shopping in Laleli/Fatih area. And last but not least is the price range, cheaper than the Radisson and the Four Seasons hotels that are right next door, thus leaving you the option to spend more money in the shops near by like Forza Sunny ( this shop deserves a visit) for designers bags and accessories:-).

The Armada Istanbul Old City is the standard for excellence. From start to finish, a rush to the airport, all was more than perfect. The breakfast is a dream, and the location makes a tour of Old City walkable. The room was clean and well maintained. The bedding was soft and warm.

The location of this hotel is just inside the original walls of Constantinople facing the Bosphorus Strait and Bridge connecting Asia and Europe. This staid hotel has a beautiful rooftop restaurant and terrace where one has views of the grand Hagia Sophia Mosque as well as European Istanbul across the water (both day and night). Their buffet breakfast is sumptuous as well as grandiose in its variety. While the rooms are small, they are well appointed and offer good storage for both folded and hanging items. The staff is always ready to assist and provide information. We were happy there as it's a short walk to a lot of the attractions.
